At any point, the vibrant signs of aging you see in the mirror are hard to ignore — little lines around your eyes or mouth, spots of age, or maybe some sagging skin.
There used to be few choices without going under the knife to turn back the clock. But today, with a lot of nonsurgical and cosmetic anti-wrinkle treatments, you can soften the impact of time on your face.
The doctors of skin have devised newer ways to get rid of this common issue. Some of the prominent and easy treatments include:
Chemical peels: Chemical peels use an acid solution for removing old dead cells from the outer skin layers. A combination of glycolic acid, lactic acid, or trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is frequently found in the solution. Applying will take about 15 minutes, and the patient may experience a bit of stinging and annoyance. Your skin's upper layers will peel over the next few days, exposing younger, smoother-looking skin.
Microdermabrasion: A treatment that sands the skin's top layer away. It can treat severe damage to the sun, but it causes bleeding and needs a week of healing. A non-surgical alternative is microdermabrasion. It blasts the skin with tiny particles that exfoliate the outer layer, called a "power peel." This can minimize fine lines, brown spots, and mild acne scars — generally with little recovery.
Cosmetic fillers: it is one of the most common anti-wrinkle treatments. Cosmetic fillers are substances that bulk up the tissue below to smooth wrinkles and folds. Doctors immediately inject them into problem areas. The oldest and best known cosmetic filler is collagen. Hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, and ordinary fat coming from your thigh or stomach are new choices.
There are many other invasive and non- invasive procedures besides those mentioned above. While anti-wrinkle treatments may enhance skin appearance, shielding your skin from the sun is the best way to prevent wrinkles. Limit your time outside when it's sunny, wear protective clothing like a hat and long sleeves, and apply a sunscreen with at least 30 SPF when you're out. Caring for the skin like a piece of soft fabric and all the delicacy can prevent it from falling in the aging's early side effects.
